Clean Your House after the Floods

We can not avoid the natural disasters, such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, volcanic eruptions. The most common disaster that often happens during a wet season is floods. There are many diseases that come because the floods, such as diarrhea, dengue fever, skin diseases like smallpox, etc. Many families have to clean their room after the floods happen, because the floods cause the damage of house equipments, furniture, kitchen equipments, and the electrical equipments. You have to prepare many things before cleaning your house after the floods. It is better if you follow some tips and tricks of flood damage cleanup.

The first, you should make sure that your electrical switch has ever been turned off, because it will be dangerous if your electrical equipments are wet. Then, you should check your ceilings and walls whether they are broken or not, because it will impact your house overall. You can ask help the contractor if you do not understand about the best foundation about your house. Now, you have to think which area in your house that you want to clean first. You should be careful in choosing the flood damage cleanup tools.

Firstly, you have to separate your files which files are not wet, and which files are wet. You can put them in dry area, or you can dry the wet files under the sun. You should take your valuable things and put them into safety place. And, you do not forget to put your chemical things into a safety place also. Not only are your electrical sources turned off, but the gas sources should be turned off. You can leave them and start cleaning your house. It should be better if you use the chemical to clean your walls, carpets, floors, closets, and cabinets. You can clean your floor or other things from any mud. To clean your kitchen equipments, such plate, glasses, etc, you should immerse them in a hot water with the disinfectant for 10 minutes to kill the bacterium. The mattresses which are wet because of the floods should not be used anymore. Beside that, you should throw away the toys that are wet, do not try to clean up them because the bacterium will never die overall and it will make a disease if you still use it.
